Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Psquared Inc. ("we", "us"), 1020 rue de Bleury, Montréal QC H2Z 0B9, Canada, for your use of ArchetypeScore at https://archetypescore.com (the "service"). By using the service you accept these terms. If you don't accept them, please don't use the service.

Who can use the service

You must be 18 or older. The service is not offered in Quebec, and purchases from Quebec addresses are cancelled and refunded.

What the service is

ArchetypeScore offers a free short personality questionnaire based on public-domain items from the International Personality Item Pool (IPIP), a free summary of your results, and paid features: a full report (web and PDF), a longer questionnaire with a facet-level report, an AI coach chat, and a compatibility comparison with someone you invite.

The service is for self-reflection and general information. It is not a clinical, psychological, medical or diagnostic assessment, and it is not a substitute for professional advice. See our Disclaimer.

Your account

We create your account from the email you give us; you sign in with one-time email links (there are no passwords). Keep access to your email secure, because anyone who can read it can sign in. You can download your data or delete your account at any time from your account page.

Paid access

Paid access is either a subscription that starts with a short paid trial, or a one-time purchase of the full report, depending on the offer shown to you. Prices, the trial length, the date of the first full charge and how to cancel are shown next to the payment button before you pay. The details are in our Subscription terms and Refund policy, which are part of these terms. Payments are processed by Stripe.

The AI coach

The coach is an AI chat that uses your results to suggest ideas for reflection. It can be wrong, it is not a therapist, counsellor or crisis service, and it does not replace professional help. If you write about harming yourself or others, the coach shows support resources instead of coaching. There is a daily message limit.

Acceptable use

Don't misuse the service: no automated access or scraping, no attempts to break security or rate limits, no unlawful or abusive content in the coach or contact form, and no resale of reports. Invite links are for people who agree to take the test; don't share someone else's results without their permission.

Content and intellectual property

The questionnaire items come from the public-domain IPIP. Our reports, archetype names, descriptions, design and software belong to us or our licensors. Your report is for your personal, non-commercial use. Your answers and results remain yours; you give us the permissions described in our Privacy policy so we can provide the service.

Availability and changes

We may change, suspend or end features. If we end a paid feature you have already paid for, we will refund the unused part. We may update these terms; we will post the new version here with a new date and, for material changes affecting paying customers, tell you by email before they apply.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, the service is provided "as is", and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions you make based on your results. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer-protection laws that cannot be waived.

Ending your use

You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, with notice where reasonable.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of [Lawyer: province] and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. If you live in the EU or UK, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your country and can bring claims in your local courts.
